Has anyone else noticed the degradation of language? The nounification of verbs just irks me. Please don’t send me an invite. Don’t give me a like. I don’t give a fuck.
Oh wait…
Maybe I’ll make some exceptions.
Or is the problem more like the lowering of expectations?
When you “make a presentation,” people expect something grand and wonderful to happen before their eyes.
When you “give a talk,” all that’s required is to say words. “Hey, I said words. Success!”
This has been another edition of Shat’s Curmudgeon Corner.
