I love talking to adult relatives now that I myself am an adult because all the same family stories change from “it took a while to figure our lives out :) ” to “I had a pretty bad coke problem for most of the 90s and your father once punched a cop” 

I love my parents because they’ve been pretty well honest about the shenanigans of their youth since I turned 14.
