Dilemma

Verizon. iPhone. Finally. Great. Hooray.

But, here’s my issue…

Todays reports are that Verizon will be offering an unlimited data plan for $30/month, but that this offer will only exist for “a limited time” - the duration of which will surely be kept secret from customers.  Obviously I’d want to jump in on an unlimited data plan and potentially grandfather myself into unlimited data for the life of my contract, especially if I plan to use the iPhone as a wireless hotspot.

However, I’d prefer to wait until July to buy the likely-to-be-released iPhone 5. Obviously it doesn’t make much sense to buy an iPhone 4 now and then have to shell out full price in a few months for an upgrade to the latest and greatest.

And so… buy iPhone 4 now and secure myself with an unlimited data plan but then have to pay full upgrade cost to iPhone 5 in just a few months… OR… wait to buy iPhone 5 in a few months and run the risk of getting stuck with a crappy tiered data plan and have to pay frequent overages.

I hate decisions like this.
