Headphones - Slow Car Crash

This is one of my favorite songs of all time and this video, composed of drawings by Zachary Binks, is fantastic.

Headphones is the solo project of musician David Bazan. He also has music under his own name, as well as the band Pedro The Lion.

For those of you who don’t get it: this is a song about a couple in an unavoidable car crash who find just enough time before they die to say that they love each other.

I love this song, and every time I listen to it I see a vivd narrative of story that I felt needed to be captured in art. I am limited by skill in what I can show, but I wanted to take the chance to at least try to put it into something visual for others.

Yes, all art in this is my own work. Through both traditional and digital mediums, I drew each still from photos used as references.
