Lol. Oh god. Lolsss SO BASICALLY I’m gonna tackle this piece since I have nothing better to do in my life. The fingers aren’t actually that tricky, it’s more the fact that breathing doesn’t exist in this piece. Uhh also my tone sound sooooo disgusting!!! I blame my phone, it makes my Clarinet sound cheap and tacky when it’s not! IT’S BEAUTIFUL AND I LOVE MY BABY!
But yeah. Lols.

Oh my lord. Okay so the last page of this piece (about 3:44) is a NIGHTMARE in terms of breathing… And this guy just circular breathes through it.
SO my Nan is taking me shopping as a late birthday present on Friday. WILL I GET CLOTHES? No… I’m getting MUSIC!

One of my favourite interpretations of this famous cadenza. I love the subtle jazz inflections, and also his incredibly light and soft articulation!
If you’re unfamiliar with this guy, he is the principle clarinet of the Berliner Philharmoniker. He’s very good.
