Auckland has done a lot of growing up in the past few years. There’s an energy and excitement to the city now, a sense of community engagement. We’re starting to appreciate our surrounds, to see the magic that can be found beneath the surface.
Spatial Designer Celia Harrison and Event Producer Ella Mizrahi excel at finding that magic, the hidden potential of the places and spaces within our city. Over the past few years they have set about doing their darndest to unlock that potential, to share that magic with everyone.
They’ve been doing this with their award-winning production company, Celery Productions. Since it’s conception they have creatively produced, designed and directed award-winning productions and site-specific concepts for The Designers Institute of New Zealand, Waterfront Auckland and the Big Day Out NZ.
More than just an events company, Celery Productions are about ingenious ideas and unique experiences. They specialise in changing urban spaces and building communities through event design. And one of their best known festivals, Art in the Dark, saw over 50,000 audience members attend in 2013.
Join us for a peak at their secret Auckland and it’s many wonders.
