What’s there to do?

There are always events going on at campus for many different things. There is always going to be events that will interest you because of how big the variety is. For me, my favorite USF event is the annual Koret Night

Koret Night is an event in the beginning of the Fall semester that is meant to show new students around the gym as well as introduce them to all of the club and intramural sports that USF has to offer. I have attended three Koret nights since I started school here and all three of them I was recruiting for the lacrosse team. If I had not been already on the lacrosse team my first year, then I definitely would have been looking around at what other sport I could play. This is the only event during the school year that has all club sports under one roof at the same time. Without this event, many clubs wouldn’t be able to get enough people so it is probably one of the most important events for students to attend.

Not only does it help current students fill out their club sport rosters for the upcoming year, but it is a quick and easy way to become involved in a program. You can meet the team leaders and coaching staff all in one night of multiple teams to figure out the best fit for you. You can even meet the Director of all club sports because he is at his own table. Some students use this as an opportunity to meet him and open up the discussion of starting a new club that could use a presence on campus. I love this event because of how well it sets up the school year and it can help someone get involved right in the beginning of their time here at USF, unlike any other event.
