Juvenile emperor angelfish (by JennyHuang)
Angelfish are extremely territorial, not particularly parental, and would drive out their juveniles from their territory, as they would other competition. To allow juveniles to remain in the pratected territory, nomming on all the food, safe from predators, they appear as a completely different morph.
Nature’s way of keeping angelfish good parents, despite the hindrance of them being fish.
