I’m trying something over at linearttime for the summer. See, I believe (or I choose to believe) that, through the end of Arthur, King of Time and Space at least, I’ve drawn an average of a cartoon a day since I started my “daily” cartoons in 1976, and posted an average of a cartoon a day since I started putting them online. The operative word is “average” because there are certainly days I post no new cartoons while there are also certainly days when I post more than one. Now, since the new The Hero of Three Faces season started last August I’ve posted about a hundred and twenty of those, because though AKOTAS was daily and perrenial Three Faces isn’t. (Perhaps one day.) I do post a Creative Process every week, which accounts for 52 more cartoons for any given running year. Over at linearttime there’ve been over thirty since I started it. That leaves about a hundred and sixty to make about three hundred and sixty five for the year, August to August. So I’m going to try to draw and post three sketches a day at linearttime for the three months that Three Faces is on summer hiatus. If I can do even close to that, that leaves a nice cushion for days I can’t do it. I started today so the linearttime queue is now loaded for the next twenty four hours.
