Potosi, the highest city in the world at 4090 metres, this made the simplest things, like walking, turning over in bed, eating very very hard, turning us both into 90 year old chain smokers overnight.

Potosi town is overlooked by the mountain Cerro Rico, which contained one of the richest sources of silver in the world….unfortunately the Spanish Conquistadors “claimed” most of it hundreds of years ago, mining enough silver to make a bridge from Bolivia to Spain and back and leaving 6 to 8 million indigenous Bolivians dead.  Nowadays families of miners still work the mines in terrible conditions, shortening their lifespan dramatically to extract the last of the silver.
