In the 1960s, Umberto Eco partnered with Italian artist Eugenio Carmi to publish three children’s books: the first of which was The Bomb and the General, published in Italy in 1966. Like The Bomb and the General, the rest of the trilogy, The Three Astronauts and The Gnomes of Gnù, are also little–known but fantastic children’s books by this famous author of “adult” literature.

You can read the rest of The Bomb and the General hereThe Three Astronauts hereThe Gnomes of Gnù here.
