1. York Beer Festival Part Two

Well we returned to the festival for a very successful Friday night, possibly one of the busiest I’ve ever seen! We met up with York Ale Guru once more and worked our way through our wishlist. Obviously most of the LocAle winners and more popular beers had already sold out but we still managed to have consistently great or outstanding beers!

Our highlights were Anarchy - Algorithm, a superb Belgian Wheat beer, The Hop Studio - Obsidian, a perfectly balanced Black IPA, Brass Castle - Annexation, a smooth and mighty rich Imperial Russian Stout, Hay Rake - Dawn’s Called Thyme, a stunning unique beer infused with thyme, this would have been perfect with Sunday dinner, amazing stuff! And of course I took a little return to Daleside - Monkey Wrench our favourite from the LocAle judging. A stunning amount of great beers to try, we were very impressed by the choice and the dedication of the volunteers to organise such a great festival. We had a great two night and look forward to an even bigger and better festival next year. If you missed it, shame on you! To those that ran it, a huge thanks. We may even come help out next year!
