In the middle of stuffing myself with all the treats I’ve received today, Mondee reminded me about my forgotten “candy boyfriend” from my days at XM. As in, the man who refilled the snack machines every week and would leave piles of presents on my desk when I wasn’t looking (am I that obvious?).
Honestly, is that not the most romantic thing you’ve ever heard? Even sweeter, he started to figure out what I liked (Peanut Butter Cups, Swedish fish) and disliked (anything with black licorice) and would cherry-pick only the best for me.

having regrets that I did not buy this hat in 2010. that’s all.
I’ve never been so perfectly happy to have brought boring Trader Joe’s miso soup to work for lunch. Being nearly lifted out of my wellies by the wind (again) is not even close to being worth the trip outside.
Although nothing compares to being almost pushed by the wind off the side of a cliff in Bermuda years ago. My tiny, so-thin-I’d-hate-her-if-she-didn’t-birth-me (maybe one day those genes will kick in?) mother was on her moped in the middle of a crazy storm and I was watching the back wheel continue lift off the ground as she tried to drive off. I hopped on (basically playing the role of Sandbag) and we experienced one of the more terrifying trips back to the hotel. There were a few moments of being air born that I could have done without.
…and then we crashed the moped in the hotel parking lot. Minor detail.
Remember that time Jon Hamm came to the Tumblr SXSW party and I shook his hand and promptly fainted but he brought me back to life (with his sexiness) and then we lived happily ever after it was awesome?
Paging the Obama folks—remember this?

Very happy to announce that I work here now (trust me, this was a tough one to keep to myself for the past few weeks). I’m beyond thrilled to join the Tumblr team as their resident Communications girl. Drop me a line and say hello!
It’s amazing how much six years feels like just yesterday and a lifetime ago, simultaneously.
In 2011, we were a whopping 25 people (which, coincidentally is the median age of both David and I at that time); an entire company that could fit (sort of) comfortably into one small conference room, count ¾ of its female employees on six feet, and offsite together in one house.
Now, we’re hundreds of people across multiple offices, about to go through an acquisition (again!) and I’m certainly no longer 26. So, while I wouldn’t change the last six years for anything, I know in my heart that it’s time for me to move on to the next adventure.
It’s impossible to sum up six plus years in one sappy tumblr post, so here are some of the greatest hits:

I don’t think I have anything to add that would be 1/1,000,000th as impactful as the stories women have been sharing this week. But please count me as one man standing with you in this fight.
