Behind the scenes: Microfilm repair and duplication in St. Louis—part 3
This video clip shows duplication in progress utilizing a vesicular duplicator. Unlike silver-halide or diazo duplicators, this process can be accomplished in daylight and without any processing chemistry or special venting. This duplicator is a challenge to maintain, however, as parts are increasingly hard
to find. Consequently our Preservation Lab Technicians must take on some of the basic maintenance and repairs themselves.
