Gamsei - Cocktail bar by Buero Wagner
This cocktail bar in Munich’s popular Glockenbach area is all about being local; with all its ingredients hand-foraged or sourced from artisan farmers. This reestablishes the connection with the local area and leads to the bar’s core ethos of serving only unique, exclusive cocktail creations… after all, why order the same drink you could have anywhere when you could try something you won’t find anywhere else?
The styling of the interior follows this thinking too; with the simple timber forms and hanging bottles reminiscent of Bavarian beer halls. Visitors can congregate around the two primary bar surfaces to watch their drinks being made, and are encouraged to socialise by sitting on long bench forms that line one wall; keeping people close.
