For all those who believe we can’t change the reality of gun massacres, three charts:

–reduction in rates of cigarette smoking

–reduction in death rates per 100 million miles driven

–reduction in deaths from drunk driving

None of this happened by accident. Each was the result of legal and cultural changes. Throwing up our hands and saying, “oh well, what can we do?” is absurd. We’ve changed before. We can change again.
