This Week in Social Entrepreneurship: Get inspired for change at one of many social good events coming to a city near you

  • The inaugural Social Enterprise and Crowdfunding Conference will be held at Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort near Salt Lake City, Utah on September. StartSomeGood has partnered with the conference to obtain a discount of more than 30% off of the $199 price of a VIP ticket which includes dinner or off of the $124 price of the tickets that do not include dinner. Just use the code “SSG4SocialGood” when registering. Speakers will be coming from across the country to discuss social entrepreneurship, impact investing, philanthropy and crowdfunding.
  • Welcome, to the main event! A Social Good Cage Fight, hosted by DoSomething.org and Idealist.org, this battle of wits will be a spitfire debate centering around some of the not-for profit-sector’s toughest questions. Join them September 30th at the DoSomething.org offices in NYC. Register now and get beer and food while you settle in for one crazy evening. 
  • Time to get acquainted with the exciting fields of social innovation and entrepreneurship via Social Spark’s SparkDay 2013. You will be able to explore relevant social issues and participate in a Quick Venture Challenge by creating and pitching a social enterprise idea in one of four focus areas. Registration is super cheap and open to everyone, but space is limited so make sure to sign up soon!
  • Saturday, September 21st is sure to be a day full of intense discussions, thought-provoking panels, and networking with so of New York’s most innovative thinkers at the Do Good: A Social Entrepreneurship Event. Hosted by General Assembly, this event will showcase stories from successful entrepreneurs, strategies on how non-profits and for-profits can collaborate for social good, and thoughts on the future of social entrepreneurship. 
  • The Social Enterprise Alliance’s Chicago Chapter is hosting Start-Up to Grown-Up, an evening of networking, sharing, and celebration of the journey of social entrepreneurship. Hear from some of Chicago’s most successful and inspiring social entrepreneurs and learn about their experiences–from pitching their ideas to securing seed funding to creating a brand, and everything in between. Join them on September 24th if you’re in the Chicago area and inspire yourself to start creating change!
