“I was walking out of the MLC after a long and arduous night of studying when I turned around and saw this view. Before this time, I had never stopped to appreciate what an incredible piece of architecture this building was. That is when I began to recall the countless amount of nights I had spent in this building, pouring over my notes in order to better prepare myself for my future. I realized that to me, the MLC has become the embodiment of all my hard work and sacrifice in order to attain my goals for my future. I believe that this is what the MLC represents to many of my fellow students, though some may not be aware of it right now. I believe that my turning around and looking back at the beauty of the MLC is symbolic of many students’ paths after college. While some current students may see the MLC as a place of burden or stress, I believe that one day, when our days in college have ended and we have achieved our goals, we will all look back at our hard work and appreciate the beauty of those many hours we spent in the MLC.”
