after-dinner-sweet is of course SAKURA-MOCHI, very traditional dessert for this day, although it’s available at most supermarket and all wagashi shops all through the year.

It’s a dumpling of steamed stickiest rice with the filling of anko, sweet red bean paste inside, and wrapped in the slightly salted (real)sakura leaf. The smell of the leaf nicely remains in your mouth:)
