About over a year ago, I came in contact with Tiare Lawrence, a local girl from Makawao Maui for some potential branding work for her new venture in reviving her fathers old business & boutique called Otaheite Hawaii . At the time, little did I know that Tiare was also kind of a big deal. Tiare was not only an upcoming entrepreneur, but also a mother of 2 kids, a ripping water woman, and professional hula dancer/performer. Talk about talented! Which gives me great pleasure in saying that we have worked together in creating the new brand of Otaheite Hawaii. In this project we started from scratch with goals of nailing a logo, business card, & hang tags. The logo was inspired by the wana or sea urchin which I hand illustrated into the design. This wana design is now incorporated into Otaheite’s Spring 2013 Collection , which has been a huge success!
It has been a great opportunity to work with Otaheite - from all the branding to the different apparel designs created. Cant wait to see what will be in store for this great company!
