Today I took a field trip with some coworkers from a bunch of different teams to visit a local Etsy seller to learn about how they use the site, what they like about it, what they wish they could do to improve their shop and to see their process and learn about how they create. ChincharMaloney is a shop run by a couple that makes jewellery out of a Windsor Terrace brownstone in Brooklyn.
They do some really gorgeous work, and I loved how they design with gems that they buy specifically because the look of them inspire them to create. Colin and Marian come from art and art-related backgrounds and have taught themselves jewellery making over the years.
