It is no secret I have been a supporter of Lady Parts Justice.
Today, this really cool organization (which has given me the opportunity to reconnect with many great friends in the comedy community) is hosting their first annual “V to Shining V” even . (Hashtags #LPJ927 and #V2V14)
I couldn’t be at the Madison event, but I’m looking for a V to Shining V party tonight. If not, I may drop one at one of my local hangouts at the last minute. (Where my 323 and 818’s at?)
I’m going to ask you guys to share this. Get that hashtag moving here and on twitter. And then tomorrow, I’m going to do a little page based charity event to raise some money for them…
…but in a fun way.
These people are using comedy as activism. They’re not taking it lightly, they’re fighting the good fight in a way that I learned through my silly little column at the Badger Herald… was the best way to do it those many years ago.
I am proud to be their friend, and I think you should be their friend too.
