C'mon Chad Ford…you’re killing me. First with your terrible mock draft picks for Houston and now this? Give me a break.
No–we didn’t address our need for a center. And traded away our back-up the same day. But we got a KU boy with major talent who will put in hard work night after night. Sure, we have like 10 forwards on the roster now…we’ll package some of them up and trade for a center later. Plus, we still have the CHUCK WAGON! (Actually, not really…he’s a free agent and we need to lock that down already.)
On a side note, we all know how big Chuck Hayes is–right? He’s not huge, but he plays huge in the game and can defend most centers well. Get this–Marcus Morris is only 3 pounds lighter than Chuck (235/238), but 3 inches taller (6'9"/6'6")! I say let Chuck teach Marcus a few tips for defending the NBA’s biggest and let’s continue our 3 forward, 2 guard lineup. If you keep trying to move the pieces, eventually you’ll complete the puzzle. What if one of KU’s finest is that missing piece?
