Live shows: Thee Oh Sees, Ty Segall, the Sandwitches, and Carletta Sue Kay tonight at the Eagle. As I’m sure you’ve heard, the Eagle is closing. As it is the ONLY cool place I live near, and for a lot of deeper reasons that I won’t get into here, this is especially sad news to me. No doubt, tonight will be a shitshow. Come for your last time (or second-to-last time) to the Eagle Tavern tonight (4/26), 9 pm. RSVP here.
Also, Ty Segall has a new 7-inch titled “I Can’t Feel It” coming out 5/17 (Drag City Records), and a full-length called “Goodbye Bread” set to be released in June. Also, see Ty Segall live 5/9 at Cafe Du Nord (edit: this show has been canceled), 7/2 at the Independent, and 8/14 at Outside Lands Festival.
