Stenocereus queretaroensis / Querétaro pitaya

This species of Stenocereus is found distributed throughout Colima, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Michoacan de Ocampo, and Querétaro de Zaragoza, Mexico. It is grown for its fruit, the pitaya, which is prepared in a similar manner as the tuna for consumption.
