Over Christmas break, we visited our families in Indiana and stopped by http://www.neuhouser.com/ to check out their always interesting Christmas selection. Well, they had garden plant stakes on clearance and I somehow got approval to buy all they had (20). The truth was I had wanted to label my collection for quite sometime and had been researching stakes and just hadn’t found the right moment to bring up the idea.

Now that the garden is finally ready for summer, I have placed the stakes in the garden and labeled some of my favorites. I used Avery’s erasable permanent marker labels - so we’ll see how they hold up to Texas weather. I had wanted to write on the metal backing but they aren’t flat and it was impossible to make the writing look nice. Until I can get custom plant stakes from http://gardenmarkers.com/ these will work just fine. Now, I am ready for a Texas-style grillin’ garden party!
