Monochrome and Bright
Hey friends! I hope you had a fantastic holiday if you’re in the US. It’s definitely a southern winter where I live- one minute it’s a perfect Fall day, and the next it’s freezing! I’ve found that layering is the best bet. I’ve been seeing a lot of people rock the skater skirt with a warm, cozy sweater over it, and really liked the casual, cute look of it. I had a really hard time finding the right fit in the sweater though- something lose fitting, comfortable, and chic while still keeping some shape. I found this great Asos piece through Gwynnie Bee, and I have to say, I’m going to have a hard time sending it back! It’s such a warm, lovely piece that looks great while keeping me nice and toasty! I paired it with a skirt I bought in late summer and hadn’t worn yet, because I just wasn’t sure how much I liked the skater silhouette on me. I don’t know why it took so long to finally click, but I’m kind of obsessed with the way it cinches in and flares, accentuating my hips. I am basically living in this look! Since dying my hair such a bright color, I’ve really been getting back to my roots of all black and white everything. Definitely love wearing great staple pieces in timeless colors, while rocking a trendy silhouette!
