“Football Kids” by Club 8.  One of the best dream pop songs out there.

For Dancing: 7/10

For Smoking Hookah: 9/10

For Making Out: 7/10

For Going to Sleep: 7/10

This song is an ethereal masterpiece.  Karolina Komstedt (lead vocalist) voice maintains a smooth and comforting pitch throughout the entire song.  The melody, while not unique, suits the songs atmosphere very well.  A great tune to listen to as your mood is transitioning and undecided.

Lyrics:

Do you ever get tired of the football kids
With their sporty styles
When you stay home they run miles
And don’t you ever get bored with the job you’ve got
You wanted it badly
But wish you were on the dole

I’ve got what it takes to be on my way
With pen and paper I’ll say
I know you all
Read about yourselves in my essay
I’ve got what it takes to be on my way
In a book I’ll claim

Do you ever get tired of the friends you have
As you got them talking
There’s no stopping them now
And don’t you get tired of the lack of time
Whatever you’re starting always goes on for years

I felt tired tonight
Keep me out of sight

I’ve got what it takes to be on my way
With pen and paper I’ll say
I know you all
Read about yourselves in my essay
I’ve got what it takes to be on my way
In a book I’ll claim
I know your kind
You fill up my mind
