NPR has published a list and critique of 75 great Blue Note recorded solos compiled by Tom Moon and Patrick Jarenwattananon. I love lists like this. On one hand, they are absolutely meaningless. But on the other hand, they point us back to music that we once experienced and remind of highlights we might have forgotten or never even noticed. A great way to re-energize your neglected record collection.
