My collages would take so much less time if I was willing to use anything that showed the edge of a frame and/or speech bubbles.
Other people do that and their collages are AWESOME. I want to be that brave someday.
For now, I will sulk and look for more pictures that don’t cut off the tops of people’s heads just because they’re unnecessary to the scene.

Front of box: complete!
(In case it’s not obvious, I will be tagging all these posts “liveblogging my crafting shit” and then just post the final version at igluestuff anyway, so feel free to blacklist this if you don’t want to see my ~process.)
So to recap, my current tentative plan:

…I should probably get started if I want all of these done by March.

UPDATE:
I just realized I don’t have black fabric pens or fabric paints
So what I can do with the Bitch Planet right now beyond what I’ve already done is limited
(front’s going to be all black except that; back, depending on what looks better, will either be all art from inside, all ads from the “Hey kids, patriarchy!” back cover, or a combination thereof.)
Which leaves the question of Black Widow versus A Babies.
Which. I mean. HOW DO CHOICES?????
There’s something kind of terrible about doing a collage that you want to be a surprise, because you can’t tell anyone details because SURPRISE but you need constant validation.
Yessssssssssssss it took hours and hours but I did it and I put the time in and it’s finally done and now I can take a deep breath and appreciate that
I’ve made a huge mistake.
The copy of Photoshop I have been installing on every laptop for as long as I have HAD laptops is no longer working.
I’m trying to work around the error messages, but in the meantime, does anyone have recommendations for a free image-editing program I can use for laying out my collages?
I have been working on this box for over a week and it JUST occurred to me that no one will actually notice if I use pictures of the Natasha from the other dimension in addition to the Natasha from this one.
I mean, I still probably won’t, because I do not fucking play while I’m collaging, but just knowing the option is there is very satisfying.
I’m working on the front of the box now, btw. Here is the top, finished except that there is currently a Q-Tip where another Natasha will go:

I saw this art style for the first time earlier today, and i love it all ready.
I know this is supposed to be a meaning full piece for the Jewish New Year, and I appreciate that, but all my brain wants to see is Doctor Victor Von Doom blowing a shofar.
I’m gonna be honest here, I was considering doing a meaningful piece for Rosh Hashanah to give the world something special, but then I realized the world could have special OR it could have have Doctor Doom blowing the shofar in the style of the “Doom does what he wants” meme, and that is what the world got, and I feel like it was the right call.
Are you implying it isn’t special as is
I’m just saying that Doom is perhaps not the best representation of spirit of the High Holy Days, as this is a period all about repentance and owning mistakes, and Doom has never made a mistake in Doom’s entire life.
(I am realizing, as I type this, that I consider Doom’s point of view to be basically interchangeable with Elmo’s, except Doom sounds loftier about it.)
