They’re having a laugh
Postage charges on eBay, I’m talking about. Those sellers who use eBay as a business.
I recently tried to purchase 16 x 2" circles of wood - I’m making some wooden trucks for my grandchildren and I wanted decent wheels. Found exactly what I wanted and paid, including a charge of £6.95 for p&p.
I then receive an email asking for a further £6.09 - they’d underestimated the cost of postage! So they wanted £13 to post a handful of wood.
I cancelled the order and bought a set of drill saws for £10, free p&p. Now I can make as many wheels as I like.
The very same day I bought four 12mm solid metal bars, each 900mm long. Heavy things. Reasonable price - postage & packing? £10.
Both posted from the UK - in fact the same county - to France.
That’s why I always shop around.
eBay should do something about this. It’s ridiculous. More importantly - people shouldn’t pay it!
