Sleep Tip!

All you expecting mothers out there having trouble sleeping here are a few tips. Exercise regularly. This will improve circulation and minimize those pesky leg cramps at night; however, avoid exercising later in the day. During the third trimester, sleeping on your left side, this will improve blood flow to the fetus, uterus, and kidneys (always a good thing!) try to minimize the time spent flat on you back (supine). Support your body. Use body pillow (they even have special pregnancy body pillows). For comfort try positioning the pillow between your knees and under your belly. Nap. If you are not getting enough sleep at night try to find a quite spot to rest for a half-hour. Get help. If insomnia persists, seek advice from you PCP or your OBGYN.
