The main plot is basically old Prof X and Magneto abusing Kitty’s ability to send Logan back in time in order to try to get themselves together in the past (‘so much time wasted…’) - but the list of instructions on how to do it takes so long that Kitty has to keep sending Bishop back in time over and over again in order to buy the old dudes more time to work out the details of their hypothetical seduction.
