I am pretty sure this is the same lady I photographed last fall. It’s a picture I actually think about a lot because it was such an amusing moment, this owner and her dogs and their glorious, flowing hair. It’s funny how NYC can be such a small town sometimes, in that someone you randomly took a photo of months ago suddenly shows up again.

Pepe Gato, Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix (6 y/o), 5th & Avenue C, New York, NY • “I was driving with my daughter in Puerto Rico and saw a cat blocking traffic. I said to her, ‘Look at this cat!’. She said, ‘That’s not a cat, that’s a dog!’. He was a stray and would often end up in our backyard. I decided to take him home for my mother and spent $500 getting him to NYC. I fell in love with him in those two days. That was 4 years ago.”
