A Black Eagle in flight above the waterfall at the Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens. The eagles are a famous feature of the gardens, nesting on the cliffs and soaring high in search of prey. Their territory has been severely compromised by urbanisation - the area around the gardens is a mess of traffic and cluster housing and junction malls - but they have managed to make this their home for more than four generations.
