I have said it before, and I am sure I will say it again, I just love the garden blog from the Cloisters. In this recent post, one of the Cloisters’ administrators, Christina Alphonso, takes a loving look at the tree she sees through her window each day, a white oak. Christina goes into the medieval significance of this tree, looks at how it was incorporated into the building plans for the museum, and details current efforts being taken to keep the tree healthy and happy. It’s a feel good tale. I highly recommend it. ~AR
