$99 Wii Mini to launch December 7.
Rumored for the last few weeks, the Wii Mini has been officially announced, and will be available in time for Christmas. At an “introductory price” of $99.99, the red and black Wii Mini system comes with the console, sensor bar and a Red MotionPlus controller with Nunchuk. The system features a manual release top-loading design for disks, claimed to offer a longer life span as it has fewer moving parts.
The Wii Mini supports existing Wii peripherals, but has no internet connectivity or Gamecube support.
Update: It seems the Mini is just for Canada at this stage, with no word on the US or worldwide availability.
