the second tranche of bookings / before i left this felt like an adventure / and now it feels much more clearly like work / as such more conflicted and uncertain / i start to question my contribution to climate change and gentrification / start to search for a justification for my work and my decisions / i have given myself permission to err / to learn to discover to mistake to try / i come back to this often / as i seek to fill each day with productive work / justify the funding and the political expense / the funding is to make mistakes / you will do parts wrong and do parts right / but the costs still hurt me / and i’m still scared
