“I think internally here we have a mentality and an attitude that we are going to win this year,” Sexton said of his Clarkson club. “This is my third year and we haven’t made it past the first round of the playoffs, and I’m looking forward to a leadership role here…I think everyone here has the mentality that we can’t accept losing in the first round, we need to be a top team in the ECAC every year.”
