Eating the right food(s) before and after a workout helps you to maintain the muscle you have and the muscle you are building after working out. While working out, you want to keep your body in an anabolic state to prevent muscle breakdown. Therefore, eating PROTEIN pre workout will help keep you in this anabolic state. CARBS are another factor in having an effective workout. The correct carbohydrates give your body energy throughout your workout without causing you to lose steam. Eating carbs with a low GI will provide you with a solid steady stream of energy to your body so your body will not lose stamina quickly. Never workout on an empty stomacch – this causes your body to use up the muscle you’re trying to build, which makes your workout pointless. Here’s my delicious pre-workout meal..try it!
