Finishing Up School + New Work

I’ve been away from school for eight months now (it’s nice!) and enjoying the 9 to 5 work life, but now it is time to go back.

I received my A.A. in Graphic Design while I was in junior college but one of my goals is to receive a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and a minor in Graphic Communication from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, which I will be starting on September 20th for the next two years. Cal Poly’s Graphic Design department is known nation wide as one of the best and Cal Poly, over all, is a highly selective school (4,000 out of 40,000 transfer students were accepted this Fall alone). I will be joining twenty other Art & Design transfer students out of a pool of thirty-nine that applied.

During the past year, I worked full-time at the internet marketing company Alorad, Inc. It was a great experience which has opened me up to new areas that I’m excited to do work in. Last Thursday marked my last day as an employee and I will now be transitioning into doing freelance work for them since I will be leaving for school soon. I’ve finally posted just a few of the projects I created while working at Alorad which you can view here.

I’ve transitioned into freelancing full-time now, so stay tuned for new work. I will also be sharing my experiences and the work I do at Cal Poly right here on my blog. Subscribe to my RSS feed if you’d like.
