Moose hunting season has begun in northern Sweden.
One way of tracking the Moose or Eurasian Elk (Alces alces, Swedish: Älg) is by the scat (droppings). They are usually large and rounded, though in summer they are clumped together. More experienced trackers can look at the freshness of the scat and determine the estimated time the elk had been at that location.
