A little more Worf appreciation
Had TNG on in the background and realized that I wish Picard were my boss, so just gonna praise his management skills for a moment. This is “Reightful Heir.” Worf misses a shift because he’s having an existential crisis and is in his quarters trying to summon Kahless. He’s struggling with personal issues of identity and purpose, as we all do. So, what his manager, Picard, do? Well, first he reprimands Worf for missing his shift. But then, he basically asks Worf what he can do to help. A+ management. This is how a boss should be.

Watching “The Host” (TNG 4.23) and had to GIF Riker for this. Let’s break down the situation:
When Riker volunteers for a dangerous task, he gets the girl (Crusher) and successfully prevents a world war. No big deal.
When Katniss volunteers for a dangerous task, she’s forced to leave her family and fight other kids to the death for sport. (Side note: This was pretty much my fear and why I never raised my hand to volunteer for the unknown in my elementary school classrooms.)
