1. Your first character.

Zanbon was my first, actually! I love that the absolute very first toon I ever rolled in this game is STILL my main, years later. Once I hit the mid 30s or 40s I tried rolling a couple new toons to see if I liked playing another class, but for over a year, Zanbon was the ONLY toon I had because I didn’t like anything except playing a hunter.

I originally rolled as a Blood Elf because… well, they were the only “pretty” Horde race and my brother and all his friends were horde so I had to be Horde, too. I went with the “total bimbo” hair because I thought playing WoW was hilarious and wanted my toon to look hilarious, too.

Mid 50s I discovered how fun it was to take screen shots of the fun things I did in game. I was quite in love with the twirly, spinny Blood Elf jump and I’ve got a couple dozen pictures of me jumping around in various areas of the game. 

I quested mostly from 1-80, but did get several runs through Strat from my brother on his DK. We were fishing in the middle of the lake and I was incredibly amused by the whole water-walking thing, so I put down a campfire, then started fishing so you could tell we were in the middle of the lake. I don’t know why, but this is one of my favorite screen shots. :-[

Once I hit Outland, I reaaaally got in to the whole epic screenshot thing. My screenshot folder has nearly 2,000 screenshots, now. And that’s not including the ones that aren’t saved in the default wow folder because I used the built-in Mac screen shot function instead of the warcraft one.

I think Zanbon’s Blood Elf origins are the reason for my insane obsession with hawkstriders now. I have a soft spot for them because they were my ~*~first mount ever~*~ :O

Then when they opened up faction changes, we all went Alliance. I went Draenei because I wasn’t a fan of the way Night Elves looked and was still a super casual player and didn’t give a crap about racials… just about how pretty my toon was while I pewpewed at things.

Fortunately for me, Cata made Draenei hunters a relatively viable combo for raiding :o
