Today’s Quackery: Belly Armor for Pregnant Moms

When I first heard about a $59 belly band that would protect the unborn from microwave miasmas and cell phone radiation, I thought I’d stumbled across a satire from The Onion. Alas, no. A New York-based company called Belly Armor makes three products lined at the waist with a fabric called RadiaShield®, which it claims will give expectant moms “mobile protection” against “electromagnetic fields of all frequencies.” Tinfoil hat not included.
