This world is a whole lot of crazy.
But before it takes us down with it
I’m going to have to steal a few moments away.
Not far.
There’s a quiet forest near my house.
Let’s you and I go sit on soft cool moss
Amongst dew kissed airs.
Talk just about the good days.
Punctuated by excited crickets.
Lean back and enjoy at least this night.
Pure and black.
And I promise we’ll feel a whole lot better
In the dawn when we go back.
Refreshed
To fight on
For more days yet.
