I’m working on making that “Q&A” video that a lot of you sent me questions for - I PROMISE!!! The whole vlogging thing just isn’t jiving with me lately. I sit down in front of the camera, and suddenly I want to doanythingbut talk to it! But I’ve been keeping a list, updating it, and taking note of what I want to really talk about.

One thing that I want to cover before that is a Q that pops up on the regular; “why do you post so often”. For those of you new here, all of my social networks are tethered together, anchored to my Twitter account.
So, why do I “live” online? It’s like Donald Glover said on his Childish Gambino album “Camp”…if everyone knows everything about you, then no one can talk about you behind your back. I come from a history of rumors, with their roots stemming from a string of bad decisions on my part. One day I made the choice that I would live a positive life, and to clean up my reputation I started making every move public…so that if anyone ever felt like questioning my actions all they had to do was look online!

Sometimes it’s a headache, most of the time it’s fun! The fact that I’m a youth worker who studied technology’s effects on society is also huge. Do I make mistakes, yup, and when they go public it’s embarrassing. But to kid ourselves and think that just because someone doesn’t post something to Fbook it doesn’t mean they don’t struggle…is childish. I think that together we could use social networking to HELP each other live more positive/love-filled lives. Keeping each other accountable for our actions WITHOUT the harsh aftertaste of the “I told you so”.

Yup, so there’s that.
