    Official Press Release

Huntington Beach based No Sleep Records is proud to welcome New England band Aviator to the label’s family of bands. The band will release their debut full-length album later this year.

“Of all the experiences we’ve had in the last 5 years, joining the No Sleep team is an all-time high,” says guitarist Mat Morin. “We couldn’t have asked for a more supportive and more passionate group of guys to release this record.”

“We are stoked to add Aviator to our family,” adds No Sleep president Chris Hansen. “When the guys first showed me the album I knew we needed to be behind them. Look for an impressive debut effort from these guys very soon via No Sleep.”

Formed in 2009 in the hardcore hotbed of Boston, the members of Aviator have spent the last several years honing their songcraft which has resulted in three impressive EPs and a few splits. While the band started out as a “progressive” hardcore band, their music has evolved over the last couple of years. Somewhere along the way, the band - vocalist TJ Copello, drummer Aviv Marotz, bassist Mike Moschetto and guitarists Mat Morin & Michael Russo - began letting go of the tropes of heavy music in favor of emotional weight, plucking instead at heartstrings and cathartically pounding the doldrums away.
