Beautiful map of the moon generated from the Japanese lunar space craft and mapping/imaging project Selene. This was one of the first ever HD topographical maps of the moon. The maps were created using 1,127,392 point measurements, taken with Selene’s laser altimeter. And this map was just a preliminary version!
