Apart from the day to day routine, we’ve been consumed with a host of other tasks since we are moving! After years of being city folk, we are making the suburban migration. Truth be told, we are elated! We are bursting at the seams and I long for organization, space and order. The nice thing about Chicago, is that the suburbs don’t feel as much like Siberia as they do in other cities. It’s a quick train ride downtown, and well driving is a different story, but whatever. I’m sure once I’m settled, my thoughts are bound to change, but we have slowly eased into this transition over the past few years. Now with school on the horizon, a good community with a solid education system is our priority. Our family is looking forward to forging new friendships, and we are especially thrilled for our kids to grow up with the same friends. The transiency of cities has made that challenging at times.
For those who have made the exodus from city to suburb, what did you find most challenging? What do you enjoy most? And most importantly, any guidance? Local Movers? Suggestions welcome.
